Robot-Sumo tournaments are quite the rage in Japan. There are even web sites devoted to it. Now bring all the techno-excitement of this science-sport into your classroom. -- The Sumo Robot uses an infrared sensor beam to detect an opponent. When the sensor detects the reflected rays, Sumo Robot rushes forward toward its opponent, jabbing its arms. Sumo can then be controlled to assail and overpower its opponent or retreat to prepare for battle.
