It is incumbent on any serious student of the sages to actually study what system of thought they were part of, I think. But how many scholars are alchemists? It would be difficult to be a paradigm academic person and retain the kind of involvement an alchemist must have. It was even difficult for Socrates and Aristotle in far less socially controlled times. I am regarded by high Rosicrucians I have met - as an alchemist. I have demonstrated to them - in advance in one case - that I am adept! So you can be assured that my point of view is unique in regards to Plato, Socrates and other alchemists or humanists who have blessed the world with their great works and the over-arching Great[..]

We did everything the experts told us to do. We did what we thought was right. But lurking around every corner was the Monster. The Monster was waiting to pounce on us and steal our dreams and destroy our future. He did. Bigtime! You may know the Monster by another name - Drugs! Whatever name you give him, he's an unforgiving and unrelenting monster who, according to the DEA, claims the lives of one American every 20 minutes. When our son died, I could not bring myself to utter the words - "he died from a multidrug overdose." I could merely say his heart stopped. He was a 31-year-old Paramedic and RN. g with a camera and adjusting the settings manually can be an intimidating task to the new photographer. Most veteran photographers will no doubt remember the first roll of film they ruined by reading the light wrong or the photos they missed by having a closed lens cap. A photographer's job is to be the conductor of a symphony of moving parts, influencing each element to make sure the end result is more than just the sum of the parts. Without understanding the elements of photography individually, it is impossible to understand how they relate to the whole. So let’s begin our trip into the inner-workings of photographs with one of the most unfamiliar topics: Aperture. What is[..]
